Spode's Woodland American Wildlife series brings nature to the table on high-quality earthenware. Each piece depicts in full color an indigenous North American animal, specifically a mother and her young, in a natural setting. The border is comprised of Spode's famous 19th-century British Flowers pattern in brown on a white background. Woodland originally showed a variety of game birds on its pieces; this is one of many versions showing other wildlife studies. Though autumnal in tone, the dinnerware makes a suitable year-round pattern, and the plates are even decoratively hung on walls.

This single 10-inch dinner plate is available in a choice of eight animals: bighorn sheep, bison, black bear, mule deer, beaver, cougar, elk, and showshoe rabbit, any or all of which may be mixed-and-matched with the same or different animals on salad plates, mugs, and more to create a full forest setting. Spode, long one of England's most renowned potteries, makes the durable Imperialware plate conveniently safe for heating food in the microwave and cleaning up with ease in the dishwasher. --Ann Bieri A special study of animals, indigenous to North America was designed for the American Wildlife Collection, in a touching mother and child theme. The Mule Deer Dinner plate measures 10 inch.
